Finer resolution in the interface builder(s)?

Could you make the grid in the interface builder have either double the resolution or be adjustable in some way? In patches with a lot of controls, I often find that they look either a bit too small for comfort (depending on screen resolution of course), or a bit too big so that the window will use more of the screen than I like.
