-In the setup page: possibility to choose if Usine have to shut up ( stop running temporarily) when we save a patch or a workspace to avoid CPU overload and glitch.

-when I want to move a patch (to the left or the right) , the mixer down stay in place and I have to move again my fader...it's boring! Above all, if I store some conductor presets, I lost them if I move the patch to the left or to the right.

-In the "showlist" page: it could be very useful to have the possibility to copy the files in another directory. Useful to organize projects.

-could be useful too having a "showlist" for the pianoroll.

hello, thanks for your suggestions
I allways do my best to implement them.
In the setup page: possibility to choose if Usine have to shut up ( stop running temporarily) when we save a patch or a workspace to avoid CPU overload and glitch.
You are For heavy patches, sometime you can hear glitches, during the load/save procedure.
I'll try to find something, but your solution can be dangerous on stage. Isn't it beter to have a short glitch than a sound cutted off?
when I want to move a patch (to the left or the right) , the mixer down stay in place and I have to move again my fader...it's boring! Above all, if I store some conductor presets, I lost them if I move the patch to the left or to the right.
It's normal, if you move a single patch on the grid. But dont forget that the grid can be full! So what append if you move a patch on a track that contains other patches? I'm not sure it's a good solution to move the mixer settings too.
Maybe the best thing should be to create a move track/delete track etc?
In the "showlist" page: it could be very useful to have the possibility to copy the files in another directory. Useful to organize projects.
Yes no problem, next version.
could be useful too having a "showlist" for the pianoroll.
I'm not sure I really understand what you mean by "showlist".
The pianoroll doesn't contain a "file list". But you can open up to 8 files at the same time and choose them with the "file num" parameter.

Absolutely ! That what I was thinking

I was thinking about the same sampler "showlist" parameter. I know that we can choose the "file num" with a fader , but I find the "next" "previous" pin's are better because of the right click option ( quantize at bar, beat...). And the "showlist " window is really nice for organizing files...

Sorry for my bad english.

I'm really happy with usine, you changed my musical life! Could you change my wife too?

The Sampler give the lenght of the wave file

Could be useful having these options:

-lenght of the original wave file (as the sampler do)
-lenght of the wave file according to the pitch and loop points set by the user.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is a bug when opening/deleting the Global sync module when a Global Sync is already open in the same patch. It crash the running status of usine ( no sound happening) and I have to reopen usine.exe

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I love the sound of usine, I'm not sure about what I say, but I find that it sound much better than other soft I use ( tracktion, energy-xt, and synthedit). Is it possible in the digital domain that a soft sound better than another one?

Thanks.

Yes good idea. But it can be done by a simple sub-patch. Just a matter of complex mathematics...
I'll post an add-on for that:
in: start pos, end pos, pitch --->> out: length

Usine as a good sound because it does no hidden treatment of the audio flow. Absolutely nothing!
No soft clipping, no stereo enhancer, no valves emulation, in contrary of most of other softs.
The global philosophy is "If you need it just take a VST"
Usine is "pro oriented". It means that the soft doesn't help you to have a good sound.
You make the sound!

So, I'm not sure that other soft help us to have a good sound! I can easily isolate frequencies with usine . The sound is very clear, crystalline and limpid. My ears are very happy! I feel that I'm taking a new musical way, a kind of rebirth....

I've a question again: I have an Emu 1212M , and it's impossible for me to get a 64, 128...buffer size.

2ms asio, gives me 88 buffer size and 88 bloc size
3ms asio , gives me 132 buffer size and 132 bloc size.
5 ms = 220 Buffer size , and 220 bloc size
4 ms = 176 buffer size and 176 bloc size
6 ms = 264 buffer size and 132 bloc size
etc...

I actually use 12 ms = 528 buffer size and 132 bloc size .
Is it really a problem? Sometimes, I get Cpu peaks , often when I move modules, link cables, etc..IS this the reason? Have you got a suggestion?

I've also notice this: when I change the asio settings, buffer size and bloc size are not update ( visually). I have to reopen Usine to see the new buffer size.

It's always better to have a buffer size of 64 128 256.
In that case most of DAW are optimized and SSE instructoin set of the CPU is activated.
Try Asio4all, and see if it makes a real difference.

Some time the asio seting is not reported to Usine. I'll take a look.

Wht do you mean by global synchro?
in usine there are 3 synchro modules:
-Master low cpu
-master hi cpu
-local sychro
witch one has caused the bug?

I'm sorry, I don't remember how exactly it appears. I had try opening several sync modules, but no crash...
Probably I have made bad connexion...
I will inform you if it happens again .

The web link asioforall.com seems to be gone, I don't know where to download it now.

The right link for ASIO4ALL is www.asio4all.com. I just checked it, and it was up and running.
