Hello!

I ventured into the 2160p for display, and I am noticing a max 1920x1077 resolution.
Anyway to bump this up? I can test this as well.

In windows 8, you can fix this by running Troubleshoot Compatibility, select problem not listed. This will upscale Usine to 2160p.
Very nice so far, and soo much room to work with now.

I will report on compatibility

At the moment, a standard size rack:

I can visualize 30 Racks in standard size, however everything is quite small...but I recommend because the increased space.
HDMI 2.0 compatible hardware is needed. Currently I am using GTX 750Ti, with HDMI this only provides 30Hz refresh rate.
There is lag when placing items from the browser, however with the forced DPI upscaling of Usine...it also provides forced Upscaling of VST.
A huge amount of racks can be visualized as well as a bunch of plugins simultaneously on one screen. Very awesome if I can get better refresh performance.
Possibly Usine needs some improvement for 2160p, I am unsure if there is anything that can be done to improve. I will look into a more powerful and HDMI 2.0
compliant and also post here for comparison. I will try to link some performance benchmarking as well to help others improve their setup.

Most definitely,
I got manic (very as I am dealing with disability)...last week been a rough one.
Went into store to buy a washer and ended up getting killer deal on 49" LG Smart 4k UHD. $650

Now I have to reorganize the whole studio setup...lol...and I just did the previous week.
Most definitely about reporting. I think finding a good experience with Hollyhock is a must. Obviously it works as a great tool for older systems.
I just want to benchmark, as Hollyhock is amazing with newer technology.

So as far as the Laptop everything is integrated, what type of video card did you say it had?
I'm interested in performance in 2160p, I think I am going to bite the bullet and do the GTX 960 4GB, or 970 and possibly a pair and push this thing.

display is kinda small for a 4k, just a 15,6" lol but still very cool to work with rez for float windows (i work as 2d/3d cg freelance)
screen is 15.6" 4K UHD LED IPS capacitive 10 points multi-touch (3840x2160) works quite smoothly & fast response with usine
onboard feeding graphic card is a
NVIDIA Maxwell GeForce GTX 850M 2 GB GDDR5 ,with an Intel HD 4600 iintegrated in processor (Intel Core i7-4712HQ Haswell (2.3GHz)), i guess it swich when in low consumption mode
didn't test deeply yet, i mostly work on may main desktop station but will soon transfert all usine stuff into it

I just did a quick-play, I have tons of lag and hang-ups using my GTX 750Ti @ 30Hz.
I was running several plugins and only about 33%, Audio was still solid however at times things just kinda froze for a moment.
Addictive Drums 2 didn't like running in Compatibility Mode, and would not authorize...so I might have to find a better way to upscale the DPI...or get Usine to do 2160p for me.

As far as comparative benchmarks for the 850M and 750Ti, it seems the Ti does better, so I must be running into refresh rate issues. I wonder if there is any boost Usine can do for 30Hz.
I know this is mostly system dependent, curious though why the hang ups. Looking into.

BTW, you should make us some Usine and Hollyhock desktop backgrounds. I took a few of the resource pictures and I am using them now.
Would be cool to have some CG ones made specifically ;)

Have a nice 4K backdrop. Oh yeah

mm 30hz seems quite low refresh nope? there must be a pb somewhere maybe there are some aero disble or othernvidia tweaks possible to get higher frame rates.. ill test tomorrow but i don't remember being like this.
4 cg stuff yup i once a long time ago started do make framed faders i posted as add on. but at that time it was quite boring to have a 'fixed 'bmp size dependant size for items and i ran more
in 'vector' stuff drwpanels stuff, but i'll try to reflect on this yup ;)
usine has quite evolved since, on resize & antialiasing stuff i ll give a shot

See you have integrated, where in my case I am using GTX 750Ti. HDMI 2.0 spec was not introduced until after, there is a method of using Display Port 1.2 (which runs 60Hz by spec), but a compatible HDMI 2.0 to Display Port 1.2 adapter is needed. At this moment I am hard pressed to find one I have faith in.

I am on verge of getting a GTX 970 or GTX980 and going that route, as their HDMI is 2.0 by design.

That's why I am stuck with 4k but 60Hz.

Well I am finding some interesting things about performance, actually probably start a subject about performance tweaking in the Wiki.
I picked up a 980 today (not installed yet), and actually have been able to overclock my setup considerably. From 2.3GHz working my way up to 4GHz and reliably.
Hopefully will have some interesting tweaks for Windows users to get the best performance out of HH2 (hopefully with just a minor upgrade, or tweaks).

Lets just hope I can stay focused lol. :D
