Good news, I spent the afternoon on the Interface Builder: totally WYSWYG now!! Also, the main consequence is that Interfaces are much more light in memory.

The implementation could be either new modules with an extra parameter, or some right-click "replace with ..." option.
this function already exists: - select the module you want to replace in the patch - drag on the patch the new module, with [ALT] key pressed
More generally, the interface builder was orginaly designed for small interfaces (few object). I know that the tendency is to create more and more complex interfaces... So, now the actual version is too heavy...
I know that I have to find a better solutions:
- Create containers (object which contains other objects). moving the container moves also all the objects in it. - a more WYSIWYG interface, - edit options: multi select, etc.
As usual this kind of modification is not very complex to implement be simply very long...

I would also like to have some lines and boxes to group and separate parts of the interface.
... it make me think about the patch-subpatch container, could act has interface group, visble or not, active or not (group, ungroup)...

Especially if the module has a lot of connections, this can be quite tedious. What I would like to have is the possiblity to change the look of some modules without repatching. The most obvious examples would be to change between horizontal/vertical fader and knob, or between the three combo box varieties.
Similar (but not quite as the output behaves different), is switch and button + an eventual new switch of a momentary kind as mentioned elsewhere on the forum.

On another note (I think I've mentioned something like this before), is an edit mode without the title bars - more WYSIWYG. In this mode the modules wouldn't need to be active and send out data, so one could click inside eg. a fader and drag it to somewhere else without changing the value.
Edit - I forgot something: Multiple select - if not with a "lasso" select, then ctrl-click - to make it easier to move several modules together. This could also be combined with sizing all selected modules together, alternatively options for copying and pasting sizes.
